“There is a baby in my tummy.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah. After you’re done my hair, I’m going to go to the hospital to get him out.”
“Oh I see. That’s exciting!”

“Yeah. Poppop will come to stay with you and Daddy when I go. I might have to sleep there at the hospital but Poppop will be here with you and Daddy.”
“Oh, ok. That sounds like a good plan.”
“Yep! And then you can come and help me bring him home!”
“Sounds great!”
She knows the plan. She’s ready. We’ve prepared her well and we’re feeling good about that.
… even if it is a bit uncomfortable to have your 3-year old talk about the baby in her tummy.

Adorable! It must be a relief to you to know that she is mentally prepared.

It is! I’ll still worry about her when the time finally comes but I know she gets it and that is so nice.

Seems like everyone’s good and ready and comfortable with the plan. Good job, Momma!
