Weekly Gratitude #31 – getting unstuck

I’m a bit stuck these days.

Stuck down. My feet feel stuck in mud. I’m stuck where I don’t really want to be but I can’t sort out how to get out of here.

I want to breakthrough.

I see where I want to be. In fuzzy detail, but I see it. And this week, the details started to become clearer. My head started to feel clearer.

And through the clear, I see the sun. And I know I’ll get there. I’ll get unstuck.

This week, I am thankful for the baby steps out of the mud. I am thankful for…

… impromptu dinner out.

… uneventful trips to the grocery store with my girl.

… electricity. and air conditioning. and a fridge full of food that didn’t go bad. (we were so lucky throughout this storm).

… my husband, as always, helping me work through the tough times, helping me break through, helping me see clearly.

… two-bite brownies.

… an hour of backyard pool fun on a Wednesday.

… early train rides home.

… a weekend. 2 days to make the most of.

You may have noticed that sweet-faced girl staring at you up there next to the email subscribe space. After writing here for over a year now, I am exploring (and getting a bit more serious about)  turning this into something that will help support my family (in addition to supporting my passions and, I hope, supporting you in the admirable, but tough, work of raising your own humans). As I explore this area, I will aim to only feature sponsors or ads related to products or services that I believe in and that just feel good to me.

Tea Collection feels very good to me. I aim to raise globally inspired kids and Tea Collection sells globally inspired kids clothing. For 10 years, Tea Collection has brought worldwide cultures and modern design to children’s fashion. To celebrate their decade of global inspiration, Tea has created a Tenth Anniversary Collection from their favorite pieces. Browse collections inspired from Japan, Brazil, Korea, Turkey, & West Africa and get a head start on your back-to-school shopping.

My daughter’s Tea Collection clothes are some of our favorites – they are comfy yet adorable and just fun to wear. Next stop for me is their boy’s collection – dressing my little man is going to be so much fun.

Happy weekend, all. It’s going to be 105 degrees here tomorrow, they’re saying. But we’re not gonna let the heat get us down. Hope you can do the same!
