“Bye Mommy! You going to work?”
“Nope! Just going to run an errand.”
‘You going to wun and ewwand?”
“That’s right. Have a good nap while I’m gone!”
“Ok!”
I start to walk away.
“Mommy! I need you when I wake up.”
“You need me when you wake up?”
She is tilting her head and pointing her little finger at me.
“Yes. I need you when I wake up.”
It’s possible that she meant to say “I see you when I wake up.” It’s also possible that I will continue to ignore that possibility and enjoy these days when she still needs me.
