If you go away for the weekend, leaving your husband home to work, you might return to find that, in his procrastination breaks from work, he has done some chores.
You might find, for example, that he has done the laundry so that you don’t have to. And so you might overlook the fact that he reclaimed stole your favorite t-shirt because any day that you don’t have to greet the washing machine is a good day.
You might find that he has taken to goodwill the old clothes that have been sitting in a pile in your bedroom for weeks months.
You might find that he has done the grocery shopping and that you don’t care what he bought. You are just thankful because any amount of time that isn’t spent in the grocery store with a toddler adds years back to your life.
And you might find that, during said grocery store trip, he has bought beautiful flowers that are nicely arrange in a vase by the window when you return.
You might think that this is the best way to spend a weekend ever – take a fun weekend trip and return to a house where all the chores have been done for you. What could be better? You might consider planning another such weekend soon.
But then you might find that you don’t want to spend any more time apart from a man this wonderful.
